There are currently two positions available for Assistant District Attorney in the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, located in Canton, New York.

Salary: $98,161 to start with full benefit package.

Benefits: Generous vacation and sick time allowance, Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility and the option to enroll in the St. Lawrence County’s health insurance or opt out of the insurance and receive a buyout in the amount of $2,000 for single coverage or $4,000 for family

Duties of the position: This is professional legal work involving the responsibility for prosecution of all cases of criminal violations of law in the county. The work involves investigation, preparation, and presentation in court of criminal cases. In addition to prosecution, an employee in this class researches and orally defends appellate briefs. Work is performed in accordance with guidelines provided by law. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate personnel. The incumbent does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Admission to the Bar in New York State.
